In detail itinerary and places you will stay.

Day 1: Nairobi arrival
upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your town hotel for overnight. Depending on your arrival time, you may undertake the various days’ activities on offer. Our representative will detail you on the same. Overnight at FAIRVIEW HOTEL / HOLIDAY INN Boulevard/Hero court hotel or similar (B/B) depending with your budget bracket
Day 2: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park 
Pick up from your hotel after a scrumptious breakfast. Depart by 08.30 hrs from Nairobi, driving North West of the equator, down the scenic escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. You will take a brief stop at Kijabe viewpoint where you will have an opportunity to photograph amazing natural phenomenon – The Great Rift Valley.
The history of the Rift Valley dates back to millions of years during great earth movements. This massive valley stretches from the Middle East to Mozambique and down to the red sea. Proceed on via the lake side towns of Naivasha and Gilgil, past the domant Mount Longonot Volcano. Arrive in time at Lake Nakuru national park in good time for lunch at lion hill lodge /Lake nakuru lodge or flamingo camp. We shall have late afternoon and evening game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. And with luck we shall encounter the below animals

Lake Nakuru is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth – myriads of pink flamingoes whose numbers are legion, often more than a million. It also houses a rhino sanctuary and it’s the best place in Kenya to chance for leopards. Dinner and overnight at LAKE NAKURU LODGE / FLAMINGO HILL CAMP (FB) or lion hill lodge or budget hotel in Nakuru town.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park - Kakamega

Early morning game drive at Lake Nakuru with its big cats such as Lion, Cheetah & Leopard. The soda lake whose waters are often covered by a living carpet of thousands of flamingoes, is a spectacular ocean of pink and is surrounded by forest and plains that are home to lion, rhino, leopard and large herds of waterbucks. Birdlife is prolific with over 300 species having been recorded. Lake Nakuru was declared a Ramsar site in 1990 - a wetland of international importance.
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru driving further west to arrive at the scenic Kaka mega forest in time for lunch. Rondo Retreat is indeed like a small oasis in the midst of this last tropical rain forest. Afternoon visit a traditional Luhya village for an insight of the way of life of the local people in this area. Dinner and overnight at Rondo retreat centre (F/b)

Day 4: Kaka mega Forest
Full day in Kaka mega Forest with nature walks in the Forest Kaka mega forest is the towns' real treasure, a remnant of unbroken equatorial jungle that arched west to east across the continent. The forest contains Kenya Rarest arboreal, faunal, floral and avifaunal treasures. 20% of the amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals occur nowhere else in Kenya.  Also this is where herbal medicines are extractred.

Day 5: Kakamega Forest - Kisumu (approximately 1 hour drive)
Early morning nature walk to further explore the forest. Depart Kaka mega after late breakfast and drive to Kisumu with a brief stopover at the "weeping stone" of the Maragoli which produces a constant stream of water along its face, giving rise to many and varied local legends.

Kisumu Town is the capital of Western Kenya and center of populous Luo community the third larges community in Kenya. The town stands at the mouth of Nyando Valley close to where Nyando River empties into Lake Victoria . It is in this town that the last rail was laid in 1901.The city has "Friendship" status with Cheltenham, UK and "Sister Town" status with Roanoke. Arrival at Kiboko Bay Beach Resort in time for lunch or any .This afternoon marks the climax of the safari with a visit to Kogelo Village to trace the roots of the first African - American president of the United States of America. Kogelo, the remote village home of Barrack Obama's grandmother, Sarah and where his father was born and buried. 60 kilometers away from Kisumu Town, you will get to Kogelo village. It is in this village that the father of President-elect of United States of America - Barack Obama was born and raised. The grandmother lives in this village to date.
The village has a school named after president-elect Obama. It is called Senator Obama School because it was built when the president was a Senator. The village has a shopping centre and a health centre. It is a typical African rural village with most residents living modestly by small-scale farming and others by fishing in the nearby Lake Victoria in small scale. The inhabitants of this village are Luo by tribe. This is the third largest linguistic group in Kenya (there are 42 linguistic groups in Kenya). The Luo people are known for their love of education and their efforts to achieve the highest level of knowledge. It is no surprise that the President-elect father met his mother while in pursuit of higher education at Hawaii University. Dinner and overnight at KIBOKO BAY BEACH RESORT (FB).

Day 6: Kisumu
After breakfast, transfer to Mbita Point in time for check in at Lake Victoria Safari Village. Thereafter, transfer to Takawira Island by boat. This island is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt islands in Kenya. Lake Victoria is world renowned as the source of River Nile and the second largest fresh water lake in the world and thus a fisherman's idea of pure heaven.

Full day at the island with activities like , windsurfing, sailing or just relax on the beach and take it easy. Activities payable direct. Lunch at Takawiri Village Resort.  Dinner and overnight at Lake Victoria safari lodge (FB).

Day 7: Kisumu - Kericho (approximately 1 hour drive)

After breakfast, depart for Muhoroni passing through the rolling swathe of tea bushes of Kericho. Kericho is the center of Kenya's tea industry; tea was first grown in the district in the 1920's having been introduced from India. The tea industry in Kenya is now ranked the first foreign exchange earner. Lunch at Kweisos House.  Afternoon visit a Tea Factory for inspection and thereafter a nature walk within the grounds of the House. Dinner and overnight at KWEISOS HOUSE (FB).
Day 8: Kericho - Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, depart for Masai Mara driving through Sotik. Arrival  in Masai Mara in time for lunch at Mara  sopa ,keekorok lodge ,Serena Safari Lodge / Big time Holidays limited camp ,www.bigtimeholidays.co.ke ,governors camp depending with your budget.
Masai Mara is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary with abundant wildlife and gentle rolling grasslands, which ensure that animals are never out of sight. Its  flora is as profuse as its fauna. Bird life is also prolific with over 450 species having been recorded. On this day we shall have late afternoon and evening game viewing and if things go well as I expect we shall encounter 45% of the big five walking in the park as the sun is setting to the west and the timid animals are coming out from the ditch to make the evening hunt. Day 9 and 10: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Full day in Masai Mara with unlimited game drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve. Experience the wildest game show on earth! Large herds of elephant, hyena, and antelopes of all types, the BIG CATS as well as Masai Giraffe, Hippo and Crocodile play at center stage. Enjoy an extended morning game drive or a full day game drive with a packed lunch / breakfast. Meaning dotted plains in the Masai language, Mara is a vast area with scattered pockets of acacia woodland inhabiting a wide variety of fauna. It offers breathtaking views as seen in the Film ‘Out of Africa' much of which was filmed here. The Mara is also the staging ground for the great Migration, one of the most awe-inspiring natural events in the world. All meals and overnight at the lodge or camsite.

Day 11: Masai Mara Game Reserve - Nairobi

Your last early morning game drive at sun rise.  After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with a picnic lunch. You will have a farewell dinner at the Carnivore restaurant and thereafter We shall transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight or onward flight to Kenya's beautiful coast. (Coast extension @ extra cost) or back to your favorite hotel in Nairobi.
